Special announcement for Zappa fans all over the world

If you can't read a fuckin' word of French, please note the following : You don't have to join Les Fils De l'invention to attend the International Zappa Conference we organize in July. People who join now want to help us make the event happen and will enjoy other benefits such as the right to receive the new issue of our born again deluxe fanzine Le Pingouin Ligoté. Basically, if you're interested in coming, all you have to do is… come (but please, don't get no jizz upon that sofa, sofa). Charge for admission will be reasonable, not more than 10 euros per day, maybe less. If you look for decent accomodation in nearby hotels, please see with Rhonda, who is currently negotiating prices around 60 euros per night for a double room including breakfast.

Please also note we're not setting up a music festival but a conference. Only two cover groups are programmed, which are new brilliant French outfits : one will play around 8 pm on the 5th, the other one will start at 6 pm on Sunday the 6th. A dynamite one-woman show will open the Saturday concert. The rest of the days will be crammed with lectures, panel discussions, live musical interludes, various performances, games, films, poodle activities... Lectures and discussions will be delivered in English or in French. French will be instantly and approximately translated in English. Food and drinks will be available on the premises.

Last but not least : an opening aperitif is planned for the 4th in the evening. It will take place in the only Zappa café in Paris (see picture), 115 rue Oberkampf, next to the hotels you might have booked through Rhonda.
